This Survey is for the Veterans to fill out in order to become more aware of their own bodies. The results we get from each of you that take it will give us percentages that we can use in reports to media and to elected officials. You, the Veteran, benefit by taking a close review of what is occurring in your own body. It might be good if you print it off and start your own medical file.
Those of us that served in Operation Desert Storm started in 1991-2 looking at our symptoms and then realizing we were not alone! At that point, the digging for truth began to find out what really happened to affect at that time tens of thousands of us. Today out of 696,841 who served in Operation Desert Storm in theater there has been 256,481 claims submitted.
Those of you that are Desert Storm Veterans should still do the symptoms survey, as should any veteran that has had hazard exposures (Project Shad, Atomic Veterans, Agent Orange Veterans). We also welcome those that did not deploy but took vaccines and handled equipment returning from theater to take the survey. We also welcome any veteran who is not ill to take these same surveys. Only in this way will we all be able to sort out similarities and differences.
But what really triggered us to put up the survey is the generation that has followed Operation Desert Storm. Whether it be Bosnia, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom we know that there are many combat injuries which means IED damage, gunshot wounds but we also know there are some that are showing the ill defined illnesses yet again. We decided for your benefit to have these surveys here and compile the data.
If you are of this newest generation of veterans pay attention! I understand that your buddies may have died over there. I understand your other buddies may have suffered amputations and severe multiple injuries, please understand those type injuries are getting attention! They are being patched up and helped big time. If they aren't there is a loud ruckus that goes up! But those that have gotten exposures from depleted uranium, sand, endemic diseases, shot reactions, or whatever sometimes are hesitating to acknowledge their own problems that are and will affect their life long health issues. In fact those that are combat wounded casualties will have also been exposed and this too will affect their long term health. I am saying we need you all to take these surveys, get informed, get others to take the surveys and we will provide the overall data percentages because I truly believe that yet again we face the same old issues!
